In this thread you will find the criteria you will need to fulfill in order to achieve each literary award.
Each award will have a separate post in this thread just to make each award clear.
Once you have completed all required criteria, PM me with links to the relevant reviews.
Reviews should include what you feel are the books strengths and weaknesses, quotes that stood out to you and your personal response to the book with reasons to support your praise and/or criticism.
A simple one line 'I enjoyed/did not enjoy this book' will not be considered a review nor will it be sufficient to achieve the award.
If you are the first person to review the book, don't forget to add a poll and rate it out of 5.

The Critical Thinking Award Initially I was intending to make this award The Political Award but as I was researching it, I felt that there is such a broad scope of subjects that can include conflicting political ideals that the term seemed too small. Therefore I have now named this award, The Critical Thinking Award and can include any book that could be deemed to make the reader think or challenges the norms. This is a very difficult topic to provide a subject list for, not only because it's hard to choose books without bias but also because they often easily cross over into dystopian themes. For this reason, I have just compiled a very general list of ideas for books that cover political and social justice themes. This will be one of the two awards that you do NOT have to choose exclusively from the list of books offered. You are more than welcome to review any book fictional or non-fictional that you feel deals with these subjects. You will need to read, rate and review 5 books that fit this genre. 1. 1984 - George Orwell 2. Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury 3. Brave New World - Aldous Huxley 4. Catch 22 - Joseph Heller 5. A Clockwork Orange - Anthony Burgess 6. Animal Farm - George Orwell 7. Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand 8. The Davinci Code - Dan Brown 9. The Hate you Give - Angie Thomas 10. Just Mercy - Bryan Stevenson 11. V for Vendetta - Alan MooreEach book should be rated and reviewed in the appropriate thread. Once you've read, rated and reviewed, please PM a member of staff to verify the reviews so that the Critical Thinking badge can be awarded Please remember that any opinions regarding reviews for books of this nature do not necessarily reflect the opinions of staff on this forum and we ask reviews and responses to be sensitive and kind.
