Do you have a preference. I have to say, I prefer books but I do have a Kindle paperwhite which is great whenever I go away and can be read easily in bright sunlight. The only trouble with the kindle is that I like to read before I go to sleep and I've honestly lost count of the times I would nod off while reading only to be rudely wakened because I've dropped it and it's smacked me in the face!!! Now I read paperbacks before bed!

Have to say e-books have come up next to actual books for me. Have two apps I pay monthly to and I can read as many books as my heart desires. However I still like reading in a book and still does when I'm in a nostalgic mood

Now I read paperbacks before bed! That's funny, and happens to me too. Not that I get smacked in the face, but that I nod off while reading. As to the question: I don't like e-readers. For me it has to be the real thing. As I mentioned before somewhere here: for me, a book is more than just reading the printed words. It's the whole thing: the book itself, the cover, the feel of the book. I just wouldn't enjoy reading a novel from a piece of metal/plastic. Also, I find it uncomfortable to hold. I have a Sony e-book reader my husband once bought me, even though I begged him not to. I tried it out, and didn't like it. I think an e-book reader is perfect for people with arthritis in their hands/fingers, especially if they are reading a tome of a book.
